So what do you need to know?
I’m Peter (Duggan), but some folk call me Pete. I was born in Glasgow on 13 November 1963, which makes me exactly 113 years younger than my great fellow Scot Robert Louis Stevenson. Some of my interests are outlined on my home page, so I’m not going to repeat them all here. My schooldays (1969–1982) were spent at Jordanhill College School (now simply Jordanhill School) in Glasgow, after which I studied music at Edinburgh University (1982–6) and Koninklijk Conservatorium in the Hague (1986–7). Two not wholly compatible interests — professional recorder playing and living in Scotland — led to a change of tack which took me to the Northern College of Education in Aberdeen (now part of Aberdeen University), where I did my post-graduate teacher training (1988–9). Since 1989 I’ve lived and worked (as a music teacher before taking early retirement in summer 2021) in the Scottish Highlands. My main place of work was Kinlochleven High School, but I’ve also been long-term visiting music specialist for several primary schools and done some work at Ardnamurchan High School.
